Breeding 'HOLISTIC' Collies! ...

DERBY COUNTY SHOW 2010

Above photo is my Best of Breed winner: GEMHIED WILDBERRY

Puppy (5)

1)      Malpas LANLIN GHOSTLY BLUES, Masculine blue dog puppy with ring presence. I loved his clean well moulded head with good chin and beautiful foreface, correctly placed and sized eye gave a soft enquiring expression enhanced by his pretty freckles. Nicely put together with the length of neck and overall balance i am looking for, and he moved out well with good extension. I shall watch him mature with interest. Best puppy.

2)      Bradshaw's SALGARDON TIME ON MY SIDE AT TYFIELD.

3)      Smith's RASHEL IT HAD TO BE YOU.

Junior (8)

1)      White's MEJOLA MY BLUE HARLEQUIN. It is no secret that i love this young blue male, he has size and a commanding outline with ample neck and good top-line both standing and moving. Excellent head piece with well formed chin and tight lip-line, beautiful eye placement giving a glorious expression. He is very slightly over weight which today affected his movement going away from me.

2)      S. TIME ON MY SIDE

3)      William's ESSENJAY MOONLIGHTING.

Post graduate (6)

1)      Gallagher's GEMHEID WILDBERRY. For me this tricolour bitch is eye catching with her inky black outline built along such elegant lines. Ultra feminine and showing on a loose lead for all she was worth. She has the hind angulations i am looking for with well turned stifles and short strong parallel hocks. Long arched neck completes the picture, and this elegance is retained on the move where she excels.

Flexing her hocks as she floats effortlessly around the ring. Clean refined one piece head with absolutely no flare, small well used ears enhancing her sweet yet dignified expression. Stood and asked for BOB in her shiny black glamourous gown with all the frills and finery to complete the picture and she out moved everything in the challenge. Well done.

2)      Smith's DANFREBEK NEENA LA DIVA AVEC SHARLA.

3)      Bigg's SPIRECROFT TEXAS RANGER

Open (10)

1)      Pryor's AQUALITA MIDAS TOUCH. Shaded sable male with the best head of the day, ultra clean and elegant from every angle with strong well formed chin and correct stop, super flat skull, small well placed ears. Gloriously shaped and placed dark eyes giving a very sweet yet masculine expression.  Good neck set into sound shoulders, level top line, ample bone and substance. Moved well coming and going. Lacked a little in coat today which lost him BOB against a born showgirl in tremendous form.

2)      Hornby's TANZENNY EBONY EYES SH.CM. This beautifully constructed young lady pushed my class winner very hard. Her young handler gets the very best from her and It was an absolute joy to watch her power around the ring on the move. Would love to see her again in full coat. She just lacked the absolute finish in head qualities of the class winner today, but she makes a lovely picture and i really did wish i had two first prize cards.

3)      William's ESSANJAY BLACK VELVET.
